Camping

In addition to the many developed campsites available throughout McCreary County, visitors can take the opportunity to sleep under the stars, along the trail or in your boat along the river bank if you choose. However, back country permits are required for most camping outside of developed areas. Please visit www.nps.gov/biso or www.fs.usda.gov/detail/dbnf to learn more about camping in the back country and where to obtain permits.
