Heritage Days are here again! Don’t miss out on these unforgettable events in scenic McCreary County. The full schedule is as follows:

-October 4th Artisan Night at the Library 5PM-7PM. There will local 
crafters, authors, photographers, and storytellers set up throughout the 
library showing their traders.

– October 5th Go Big 2018 Healthy Hike/McCreary County Hikers:
Yahoo Falls Hike
Meet at Yahoo Falls Parking Lot at 5:00 pm. Current plan are to go down 
the steps and come back around the top of the falls, less steps. Those 
who have problems with steps use your own judgment.
Hike will be approximately 1 mile

-October 6th 8:30AM-4PM Big South ForkRiver Dash and Wild Rivers 
Celebrate. Last of the 2018 Kentucky Waterman Series. Awards ceremony 
will follow. Register at www.explorekentucky.us

-October 6th Flat Rock Loop Hike. Meet at the Extension Office at 9:00 
am trail head on North Hwy 27 at 9:10 am
This is a loop trial approximately 2.5 miles, it does have elevation 
change, a couple small creek crossings and is rated easy.

-October 6th Go Big Challenge 2018: Dark Sky program at blue Heron 
overlook 7PM. You can bring a flashlight with a red lens.

-October 6&7 Fall Colors Festival In Downtown Stearns. Saturday 11AM-7PM 
and Sunday 12PM-4PM. A fun filled Two days of crafts, antiques, music, & 
food. *Outdoor Prayer Service Sunday, October 7th @ 11AM.

-October 7th Princess Falls Hike
Meet at the Yamacraw Day Use Parking Area at 2:00 pm
This is a hike in and back out the same trail. It will be about 2-2.25 
miles in length with very little elevation change and is rate easy

-October 7th Rails to Trail Hike to Dick Gap overlook 12PM-4PM

-October 7th Kristina’s Kitchen Heritage Trail Days Waffle Brunch Buffet 
9AM-3:30PM. 18 S Main Street, Whitley City, KY
